This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Santa Ana is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Santa Ana is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I have always loved Cajun seafood, and Seafood Kickin Crab has become my familyβs favorite place to enjoy it. We often choose this location because the atmosphere is so thoughtfully designed and incredibly clean. From the decorations to the overall layout, everything feels carefully arranged, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. The food here is also excellent. One thing I really appreciate is that the seasoning is well balanced. Unlike some other locations where Cajun seafood can be overly salty, the flavors here feel just right. The seafood itself is always fresh, which makes every bite satisfying. My family and I always order the clam chowder whenever we visit. I am a huge fan of that dish. The soup has a rich texture and is not too watery, which makes it very comforting. Iβm not completely sure about all the ingredients, but I especially love the pieces of potato in the soup. They add a soft, hearty element that makes the chowder even better. β€οΈ

Beautiful building. Tasteful decor. Free parking. We were a group of 8 who came on a busy Friday night. The staff was attentive and professional. The service quick. The food was delicious. We had seafood in a bag with Kickin' sauce. We all wanted to take the extra sauce home to flavor our food π Would come back to try the other sauces. The pizza on pita bread was unique and tasty. I highly recommend the shrimp tacos also. On a busy night, the building's parking lot will not have enough spaces. I imagine street parking might be easy to find after office hours. Highly recommend.

We went for lunch. We did a custom bag with snow crab and shrimp with Cajun seasoning, sausage, corn, & potatoes. It was very fun and the waitstaff were awesome and very attentive. I will be bringing friends or family back here, 100%. The music was a teeny bit loud but it was otherwise a very fun and relaxing experience.

So excited to have a Kickin Crab so close to home! And I love that they kept the original style of the home, its a huge relief to have it intact and taken care of. Decoration is very fancy for a Kickin Crab, it reminds me of more upscale seafood resturants closer to the coast. There isn't a lot of room but they converted the upstairs to provide overflow at night when it gets busy. Overall very open concept and airy with light bright colors, modern and elegant! The best feature was definitely the sinks outside the bathroom. It's a bit slow, but the staff was nice and our waiter even allowed me a peek upstairs. Thank you dude!! Onions rings were crispy and fresh, although I got one with skin still attached. The king crab legs were fantastic but I've definitely had larger at other Kickin Crab locations. Still delicious! They still have a few things to fix, average growing pains, but overall a good experience. We will definitely be back!!
